You are welcome to Kyrkans Fjällgård Jäkkvik – close to heaven!

Kyrkans Fjällgård is run by a foundation within the Church of Sweden and profiles itself primarily as a campsite for church activities, but also receives other guests if space allows.

In summertime, Kyrkans Fjällgård also functions as a hostel and campsite for tourists and hikers.

The house is located at the foot of the mountain Pieljekaise, and on the shores of Hornavan, Sweden’s deepest lake. Kungsleden passes close to the house and here you have good opportunities for an exciting mountain stay in a fantastic environment – close to heaven!

Our accommodations

At Kyrkans Fjällgård you can find different types of accomodations.

During the summer season, from June 24 to September 13 2026, we can offer hostel and campsite for drop in-booking. We also have apartments with room for 4 to 8 people.

For booking of the Main Building for your own use, please contact us!

Opening hours

When the hostel and campsite is open, You can reach us daily between 9 and 10 am and between 5 and 8 pm.

Check in between 5 p.m.
Check out no later than 10 a.m.

For the rest of the year you need to book all accommodation in advance, by phone or e-mail, holliday free tuesday – friday between 9 to 10 am.

Note! All cleaning is performed by the guest and is not included in the price!

• Place in a shared room: SEK 440/night/person

• Tent pitch
  SEK 150/tent/night plus SEK 60 per person/night.
  Shower, toilet and kithen in the service room is included.

• Caravan site
  SEK 350/night
  Electricity and access to service room with shower, toilet and kitchen is included.
  Unfortunately, we don’t have the opportunity to offer latrine emptying.

• Bed linen
  SEK 100/set (two sheets, pillowcase and a towel for shower)
• Washing and drying machine
  SEK 110/laundry and drying, washing detergent included.
  Book and pay in the reception before use.
• Sauna SEK 70/person, shower included.
  Sauna with bath towel, SEK 100/person.
  Book and pay in the reception.
• If you stay att Fjällgården, you can also rent a rowing boat or a canoe. Please ask in the reception.

Send resupply packages to us

Those of you who plan to stay at Kyrkans Fjällgård during your hike, can send resupply packages to our address, for pick up on arrival.

Business delivery via PostNord is the most reliable way to send your parcels. You’ll find our address below.

We do not take any responsibility for the package to reach us, or that it arrives on time.
You who ordered the delivery are responsible for the package all the way, including tracking of parcels, picking up at Service Points and the return of packages.

What we offer is a service for our staying guests to store the package here until arrival.

If you are unable to collect your package, you can also let us know if you want us to share the content with other hikers!

Packages that have not been picked up before the end of the season will, unless we have been notified otherwise, be destroyed.
